Swing into Spring with Friends of Hemming Park’s inaugural SpringFest
JACKSONVILLE, FL – Friends of Hemming Park presents its inaugural Hemming Park Springfest with a Barnum and Bailey-worthy extravaganza on Saturday, April 13, 2019 in downtown Jacksonville’s oldest public park, in partnership with MOCA Jacksonville (which hosts MOCA Family Day) and the Jacksonville Public Library.
Enjoy a fun, free family and pet-friendly event from 10 am until 3 pm. SaltAer- Jax Beach Circus Arts will be with us all day, with aerial acts on three different apparatus. Nan Nkama Pan-African Drum and Dance Ensemble performs at 12:30 and the Ortega Elementary School Steel Drum Band is on at 11. The Magician of Hemming will amaze you with tricks throughout the day. Don’t miss kids’ crafts with Jacksonville Public Library; a meet and greet with everyone’s favorite miniature horse, Buc! at 11; gardening demonstrations and a plant sale; a pop-up fairy garden with free photos; dozens of vendors and guests including the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, Tree Hill Nature Center, Duval County Extension Service and Bee Friends Farm.
Food trucks include Wurstbusters, Blazin Azn, Fae’s BBQ and First Coast Snowie Ice.
