First Wednesday Art Walk, 5 – 9 p.m.
Bring the entire family to DTJax and celebrate the New Year at the Fresh stART Art Walk! Explore over 60+ participating businesses, art galleries, local artists and more. Plus, enjoy live performances and delectable food trucks in the heart of Jacksonville.
Headquarters @ Hemming Park • Enjoy live performances by Stono Echo, Jacob Schuman and Groove Coalition beginning at 6 p.m. on the main stage. Throughout the night, shop local, enjoy food trucks, and bring the entire family to the heart of Jacksonville.

Hemming Park is a great place to enjoy lunch throughout the work week, with food trucks and music every day. During December we will celebrate the holiday season with special Friday performances by some of Jacksonville’s favorite local bands. Bring a bag lunch, grab a bite from one of our food trucks or your favorite downtown restaurant and enjoy a free concert to get your weekend started. Here’s the full lineup for January:

MONDAY, JANUARY 15
MLK Holiday Grand Parade Celebration 2018 – Post-Parade Festival, 12 – 6 p.m.
On April 4, 2018, the nation will solemnly commemorate the 50th anniversary of the tragic death of Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior. The first MLK activity that will take place in the 50th year will be the worldwide MLK Holiday Celebrations. The theme of the 2018 MLK Celebration in Jacksonville is “The Color of Unity.”
Area high school marching bands participating in the MLK Holiday Parade will be joined by Campbell Middle School Band, Daytona Beach, Florida; Griffin High School Band of Gold, Griffin, Georgia; Lucy C. Laney High School Marching Band, Augusta, Georgia; and The Community Band, Baltimore, Maryland.
The activities of Monday, January 15, 2018, in Jacksonville will begin with a wreath-laying ceremony, followed by a downtown parade, and end with a “Color of Unity” festival and Arts Market at Hemming Park in downtown Jacksonville.
