JACKSONVILLE, FL., January 25, 2018 – Friends of Hemming Park is proud to host the following programs and events in Hemming Park, located at 135 W. Monroe Street in the heart of Downtown Jacksonville. All activities listed below are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.


Monday, Wednesday and Friday: Live Music, 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Monday – Friday: Charlie’s Café, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Monday – Sunday: Hemming Park Kids Zone, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.



4th Annual Generation WORKS! Day of Service @ Hemming Park, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Dynamic women will lead the way as volunteers who “wield weapons of mass construction” when they participate in Generation WORKS, Generation W’s citywide day of service presented by Deutsche Bank. Be a part of this opportunity to make a change and impact in Hemming Park on Feb. 3. This day of service will inspire women, girls and the entire community to be leaders and help strengthen
ties in our city as beautification will make Hemming Park cleaner and greener, planting native plants and  landscaping throughout the park.

First Wednesday Art Walk, 5 – 9 p.m.

Produced by Downtown Vision, Inc. (DVI), Art Walk is on the first Wednesday of every month from 5 – 9 p.m., rain or shine. More than 60 Art Walk venues stretch across Downtown Jacksonville’s core and include Hemming Park, galleries, museums, cultural and educational venues, restaurants and bars, Downtown businesses and more. The First Wednesday Art Walk is a great way to meet fellow artists, buy and appreciate their work, and be part of the rapidly growing art scene in Jacksonville, Florida. Enjoy local artists and dance your heART out in Hemming Park with Mike DjMonsta! along with food trucks and more on Laura Street and throughout the 15+ blocks of Art Walk. Get Down(town)!  12 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

In honor of Black History Month, Hemming Park presents an all-day party celebrating African American culture! Join us for free, family-friendly fun hosted by Friends of Hemming Park and Jacksonville Centre of the Arts on Saturday, February 24 from 12 – 8:30 p.m. The Katz Downstairz headlines the main stage at 7 pm, supported by The Groove Coalition and the MJbaker Trio. Dance performances will continue throughout the afternoon, curated by Jacksonville Centre of the Arts, along with Double Dutch demonstrations and lessons from Jump 4 Jax; step performances; artists, food trucks, beer, wine and much more. TGIF Music Series, 11:30 a.m.  – 2 p.m.

Hemming Park is a great place to enjoy lunch throughout the work week, with food trucks and music every day. On Fridays we feature performances by some of Jacksonville’s favorite local bands. Bring a bag lunch, grab a bite from one of our food trucks or your favorite downtown restaurant and enjoy a free concert to get your weekend started. Here’s the full lineup for February:
