Hemming Park Announces Events for the Weekend of September 21st
Hispanic Heritage Celebration on September 21; Skyway Saturday
JACKSONVILLE, Fla.﹣ September 16, 2019 – Friends of Hemming Park is proud to host events in Hemming Park located at 135 W. Monroe Street in the heart of Downtown Jacksonville. All activities listed below are free and open to the public.
Hispanic Heritage Celebration
Saturday, September 21 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage in Hemming Park with an evening of music, dance, food and fun for the entire family presented by VyStar Credit Union. Performances by Orchestra Fuego, Caribe Groove, Danzas Perujax and Mariachi Primera Costa; food trucks including Manny’s Cuban Food Truck, Latin Soul Grille Food Truck, El Agave Azul Jacksonville, First Coast Snowie Ice, GuanaBana Ice Pops and Dos Vatos Tacos; vendors, kids activities and more. Saturday, September 21 – Skyway runs from 12 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Take a free ride on the Jacksonville Transit Authority (JTA) Skyway to visit MOCA Jacksonville, the Museum of Science and History and the Jacksonville Public Library before attending the Hispanic Heritage Celebration in Hemming Park. Enjoy free parking near the Skyway stations.
