JACKSONVILLE, Fla., June 1, 2017 – Friends of Hemming Park is proud to host the following programs and events in Hemming Park located at 135 W. Monroe Street in the heart of Downtown Jacksonville. All activities listed below are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted.


Monday – Friday: Live Music, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Monday – Friday: Charlie’s Café’, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Monday – Friday: Summer in the Park, 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Monday – Sunday: Hemming Park Kids Zone, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Tuesdays:   City of Jacksonville Employees Get 10% Off Lunch in the Park –  11 a.m. – 6 p.m.                               



First Wednesday Art Walk, 5 – 9 p.m.

Produced by Downtown Vision, Inc. (DVI), Art Walk is on the first Wednesday of every month from 5 – 9 p.m., rain or shine. More than 60 Art Walk venues stretch across Downtown Jacksonville’s core and include Hemming Park, galleries, museums, cultural and educational venues, restaurants and bars, Downtown businesses and more. The First Wednesday Art Walk is a great way to meet fellow artists, buy and appreciate their work, and be part of the rapidly growing art scene in Jacksonville, Florida. Florida Spirits & Cocktail Festival, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Friends of Hemming Park will host the Florida Spirits & Cocktail Festival on Saturday, June 10 from 6 – 9 p.m. This unique event includes a ticketed tasting showcase featuring over a dozen Florida craft distilleries and their craft gin, rum, vodka, whiskey, bourbon and more.  Come enjoy a showcase of over a dozen Florida craft distilleries with selections from our State’s cocktail community! Global Community Day, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Friends of Hemming Park is excited to work side-by-side with the National Recreation and Park Association and Citi employees will revitalize Hemming Park through a community service day. This unique beautification project will make Hemming Park cleaner and greener by planting native plants and palms throughout the park.
