Friends of Hemming Park presents Bluegrass, beer, barbecue and other fun activities

 

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.﹣July 3, 2018 – Friends of Hemming Park is proud to host the following programs and events in Hemming Park located at 135 W. Monroe Street in the heart of Downtown Jacksonville. All activities listed below are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.

 

WEEKLY PROGRAMMING

Monday, Wednesday and Friday: Live Music, 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m., Wednesday Live Music sponsored by Jax Vision Care

MondayFriday: Food Trucks at Charlie’s Café, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

MondaySunday: Hemming Park Kids Zone, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

 

SPECIAL EVENTS

Quarterly Stakeholders Meeting (Second Quarter of 2018)

Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Please mark your calendar to join Friends of Hemming Park for the second Quarterly Stakeholders Meeting of 2018.We will provide updates on upcoming park plans, performance standards, financials, and scheduled events for the remainder of the year. Community involvement and partnerships are key to our mission , so we welcome your attendance and input. As a Friend of Hemming Park, neighboring business owner, or stakeholder, you are invited to attend this important stakeholders meeting.

 

At this stakeholders meeting we will discuss:

  • Security Stats

  • Clean & Safe Ambassador Program Stats

  • Social Services Stats

  • Upcoming Events & Programs

  • Long-term vision for the Park

Bluegrass Beer & Barbecue Festival

Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Celebrate the best of summer with Bluegrass, Beer and Barbecue in the heart of the City! Enjoy a free concert by performers including The Wetland Stringband, Rusty Shine, The Firewater Tent Revival, and Cain’t Never Could, along with delicious food truck fare and tasty beverages.

FRIDAYS IN JULY
TGIF Music Series, 11:30 a.m.  – 2 p.m.

Hemming Park is a great place to enjoy lunch throughout the work week, with food trucks and music every day. On Fridays we feature performances by some of Jacksonville’s favorite local bands. Bring a bag lunch, grab a bite from one of our food trucks or your favorite downtown restaurant and enjoy a free concert to get your weekend started. Here’s the full lineup for June:
